Weekends...

This weekend I've finished the bag. I brought the kit from Grandmother's garden when they were in Christchurch. It is a HUGE bag and Chrissy is worried I might use it as an everyday bag (not cool at all apparently!!) but no, it will be a great bag to stuff projects into!
I am a magpie. Here are the treasures we got from the St Martins Church fair on Saturday. The large tin with the dog on is for James and also the suitcase, he's been wanting something to transport his art stuff! The other bits and bobs will find homes somewhere (much to David's disgust!). So much happiness for so little money!

Love the bag. And I know what you mean about the bits and bobs you bought - I hate seeing lovely things that need a good home and so does my husband, so we often end up bringing things home that we really don't need.

If only you could be here, and attend an auction with us. My husband works as a ring man for a couple different auctioneers, and he's always bringing home "treasures" that no one else would bid on, just to keep the sale rolling! Last November, I bought a sewing box, and the auctioneer put three boxes of "kitchen plunder" with it. I bid $11 . . . there were boxes of zip-loc bags, and freezer paper, and down in the bottom of one the boxes was a brand-new Cuisinart 7-speed LED mixer. I haven't taken it up above speed 4 . . . I was afraid I would achieve lift-off! Happy bargain hunting to you!

Your new bag is beautiful! DH and I love to visit the area garage sales and he goes to many auction, also. Lots of good finds and some not so good sometimes, too.
